Angeline + Jose | Moniker Cocktail Co.

Angeline and Jose were the perfect combo—sweet as pie yet always keeping you on your toes with quick wit and the best one liners. When Angeline reached out to us a couple months before they wanted to host their micro-wedding on their original wedding date, we knew we were up for the challenge and her insane level of responsiveness made our jobs feel like cake.

When it came to their design, one of the first things Angeline mentioned was her affinity for this modern, boho wedding at Hotel Joaquin. She loved the way the styling seamlessly tied in with the venue’s decor, which would be an important goal of her own design.

Moniker Cocktail Co. is a great blank canvas venue that is easily adaptable to a range of different styles, but we focused on the soft peach color palette, arched details, and warm-toned wood for Angeline and Jose’s design.

For Angeline and Jose’s ceremony, we kept the design details fairly minimal. Moniker’s North Promenade, surrounded by arches and lined by trees, really speaks for itself! Layered Vintage created textural, boho aisle caps and a statement backdrop piece that incorporated vibrant pops of red and orange.

Angeline and Jose had our whole team teary-eyed at their heartfelt vows. One of the sweetest elements for us to see was how interconnected their families and friend groups were after 7 years together. They truly knew and supported each other so well, and it made their 20 person wedding feel so personal and seamless.

In their reception space, we selected rentals from Catalog Atelier that felt artisanal, modern and boho. Fawn Lettering created custom dinner menus featuring a half arch shape and a simple, clean font. The main statement feature of the reception space was the tabletop floral treatment. Layered Vintage designed long, low arrangements composed of warm toned blooms, textural dried foliage, and greenery. The arrangements were flanked by bud vases and candles.

We truly adore these two and the only thing we wish would have been different is that we would have gotten more time with them during their planning process!
