When Hotel Joaquin in Laguna Beach approached us about what a wedding could look like in their space, we were so honored! Camille took a lot of time considering the design of the hotel and one thing that stood out to her was how they wanted it to feel like “home.” This resonated with us deeply, as we’re so passionate about translating our couple’s personal style in the details of their wedding design. We chose simple glassware, pottery style plates, and vintage flatware with a patina-look, making sure everything had an upscale feel while keeping with the neutral color palette of the hotel.
One of the elements that really blew us away was the installation that Idlewild Floral created for the tablescape. Her use of texture, scale and unexpected materials created something that was so innovative and special. Megan and Sammie did such an incredible job of capturing the day, truly bringing the vision fully to life with their thoughtful detail shots and the way they interacted with the couple.
We also loved how Sarah of Beauty Bespoken kept an elevated yet natural look through her makeup approach, carrying through the upscale beach aesthetic.
Our stay at Hotel Joaquin was incredible, the rooms are beautifully designed and the morning coffee service was one of our personal favorite elements that nods to their high level of customer service. Bringing this vision to life and getting a small glimpse into what a wedding day would be like there made us even more excited for the future weddings we can bring to life in that space.
